I was at

the IT show yesterday. Decided to finally get a portable HDD. to store my shows, backup my pictures, music etc. me being the crowd phobic individual, fought the throngs of people making their way there after work on friday. eeks.

Paid $150 for a 120 gB one, quite a steal with the current market prices. chop chop, bashed my way to the 6th floor, paid, left. no wondering around. time to go home and use that baby.

BUT NO. too good to be true is it? brought it home, it wasn't formatted as it was promised in their cheap coloured handouts. NEVERMIND. so followed the instructions to format it. Behold, error message ensured: "windows coould not complete the formatting..."

WTF...

I so hate crowds. so i went down again TODAY. about noonish( thats when they opened the floodgates for Singaporean cattle).

saw the same fella who served me and made my attempt for an exchange. sui sui, a guy was there about to pay for the SAME thing. heard me making noise all, decided to see what was the issue and tagged along to test the fella. good old me still said 'better bring yours along to test, play safe.'

'yayaya, better man. thanks'

long story short, i got a new working one. the man got six HDDS, all tested and working fine.

and the guy who served us? a long black face.
